Business Compliance Specialist
Falcon.io is looking for someone, who wants to help ensure that our products and processes are always in compliance with Privacy laws (e.g. GDPR) and Security Requirements (e.g. ISO 27001). We need a team player who's ready to collaborate with colleagues from across the company and work closely with our Product team and engineers.
We are looking for someone who’ll help ensure that we capture and document all the great things we’re doing in these areas to the benefit of our colleagues, customers and auditors. Our customers are definitely paying attention to compliance, which makes clear communication essential!

You will be part of a small global team of specialists, providing our departments with the support they need to effectively deliver compliant, secure and smart solutions. In order to do this, you will work closely with other departments, positioned around the globe. This role should not only be reactive to the needs of others but also be proactive and identify areas of improvement and optimisation to meet the changing business compliance and security needs.
You will be joining the Commercial Operations team, which is a cross departmental unit working with all commercial teams on optimising the business. Within this team, you will work closely with Falcon's Information Security Manager. Your role would involve:
Ensuring that our products and services comply with privacy laws (Primarily GDPR, CCPA) and customer compliance requirement - in alignment with business strategy. Working closely with Engineering and Product on Privacy by Design - for processes and solutions.Assessing compliance and security risks and come up with ways to mitigate them in collaboration with the risk owners. Being a go-to person for product-related GDPR/Privacy requirements. Creating and maintaining policies and process guides to support R&D, UX and the Product department with input on how to create compliant products.Helping produce customer communication material regarding compliance topics.Conduct product related Security and Privacy compliance training and awareness.
What we hope you have:
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. And you don’t mind communicating online and with people from different backgrounds. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a willingness to work with people across the organisation. Ability to communicate through visuals as well as text.Interest in SAAS product development.Good sense of priorities and risks. A good understanding of how to operationalise and automate processes.An ability to make independent decisions and stand your ground. As we are originally a Scandinavian company, we definitely value work-life-balance, though as you are supporting the global teams, we need a certain degree of flexibility. Bonus points if you are experienced with using or designing SAAS marketing products.
You are very organised and structured in your approach. You preferably have experience from working with Privacy (e.g. GDPR compliance) and/or Security in your previous or current job. You will focus mostly on how we can apply privacy and security principles in practice, so no legal degree is required. However, a willingness to research legal regulations / security frameworks and to understand requirements is a must. Minimum: a bachelor's degree and some on-the-job training is needed for this position. Good writing and communication skills (English)
