Change.org is searching for an Associate Analyst (fixed term - 6 months) to help us deliver support and guide decision making across Product and Campaigns Teams.
We’re a social impact business (a public benefit company), and the largest tech platform focused on civic action in the world with 80m monthly users, 50,000 campaigns launched on the site every month, 150 staff, and a new revenue model that has grown by 500% in 2 years. We’re growing quickly, and our users win campaigns for change once every hour. From strengthening hate crime legislation in South Africa; fighting corruption in Indonesia, Italy, and Brazil; to fighting violence against women in India.
We are looking for an Associate Analyst who is great at writing SQL, delivering analysis, building beautiful reports, and has a passion for expanding our platform to mobilize hundreds of millions of people to take deeper civic action. You will report to our Director of Analytics.
As a key member of our Strategy & Analytics team you’ll:
Work closely with senior analysts to help product teams analyze experiments and features, identify upsides, and measure performance.Help build high quality dashboards that are used across the organization to monitor key business performance and team specific results.Participate in our weekly “office hours” to support colleagues from all around the world on their analytics questions.Learn how to perform end-to-end complex analysis from discovery to execution and delivery, in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
You’re a perfect fit for this role if your superpowers are a passion for learning, a roll-up your sleeves attitude, creative problem solving, and excellent SQL skills. This is a great opportunity to learn alongside experienced analysts, particularly if you’re coming from a non-traditional background and are looking to get more experience to become a Data / Product Analyst.
The most important capabilities for the role are:
Excellent at writing performant and clean SQL (any kind with a preference for Redshift SQL or PostgreSQL).Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets). Pivot Tables, Index Match, and Maxifs should be no secret to you!Strong and open communication and collaboration. We work in a fast-paced, remote, environment where constant communication and collaboration is key.Strong attention to details, hunger to learn, and creative thinking.
Nice to have, but not required:
1+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Engineering, Marketing, Product, Strategy, ideally in a consumer facing internet platform.Interest or experience in activism and social change.

This is a 6 month fixed-term role based either in Brooklyn, NY or San Francisco, CA (once our offices open up). Currently, due to Covid, all of our employees globally are working remotely through at least September 2020, and we will re-evaluate this over the summer.
